Ombre Queen Anne's Lace Tote Bag for ilikecrochet.com

This project came about as I put forward an idea based on a top I made using different coloured silk yarns. I was trying to get the look of freeform, whilst conforming to a pattern.I loved the effect, but it was  fiddly and there were a lot of ends to sew in!So I wondered how it would work as a bag, using variegated yarns. Luckily the folk at ilikecrochet shared my vision and commissioned me.

The pattern I folowed was a vintage Lister one. There are simpler versions of Queen Annes lace, so I used one of these instead.

I love the way that 'ilikecrochet.com.' have styled this bag, for their February edition. It is made using Rico Design Essentials cotton yarn, but any  DK cotton would work.(Yarn used double). Here is a sneak peak!
